Each letter is written from the perspective of a kid living through a faith-filled adventure or historical time period—making your child feel like they’re receiving real mail from a new friend. Along the way, they’ll explore history, grow in faith, and discover timeless truths through story.
Our kids’ letters are thoughtfully written at three reading levels to match your child’s growth: Beginner (3rd–5th grade), Intermediate (6th–8th grade), and Advanced (9th grade+).

Are these stories based on true events?
Some are inspired by real people and moments in history, while others are imagined tales woven into real places and times. All are written with truth, hope, and Biblical values at heart.

When I subscribe, will I start in the middle of a story?
Never. We’ll make sure your journey begins right at the first letter in a story, so you can enjoy it from start to finish.

What if I don’t enjoy a story?
While each story is prayerfully written to encourage and uplift, we understand not every tale will speak to everyone. You can cancel your subscription at any time — even in the middle of a story — and you’ll still keep the letters you’ve already received.

Can I send these as a gift?
Absolutely! A Lighthouse Letters subscription makes a meaningful gift for friends and family. We’ll deliver each letter straight to their mailbox with the same care and beauty as if it were for you.

When will I receive the letters?
We send letters twice a month — on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday.
How it works:

Order more than 7 days before the next Mail-Out Day → Your first letter ships on that upcoming Mail-Out Day.

Order less than 7 days before the next Mail-Out Day → Your first letter ships on the second upcoming Mail-Out Day.
Example:

If the next Mail-Out Day is Wednesday, Dec 3 (1st Wednesday of the month) and you order on Sunday, Nov 24(more than 7 days before the next Mail-Out Day), your first letter will ship on Wednesday, Dec 3 (1st Wednesday of the month).

If the next Mail-Out Day is Wednesday, Dec 3 (1st Wednesday of the month) and you order on Monday, Dec 2(less than 7 days before the next Mail-Out Day), your first letter will ship on Wednesday, Dec 17 (3rd Wednesday of the month).
Either way, the wait is short — and worth it. Your first envelope will arrive brimming with history, heart, and a story you’ll want to open the moment it hits your mailbox.

Can I change my child’s reading level during the subscription?
Absolutely! We know kids grow and their reading skills improve over time. You can switch between Beginner (ages 4–6), Intermediate (ages 7–9), and Advanced (ages 10–12) levels at any point during your subscription to best match your child’s needs. Just let us know, and we’ll happily adjust your letters so they’re the perfect fit.
